Church Library FAQs

These are the common FAQs specific to our Church Library.

For more information on how to use our Library system from our vendor, please click here.

1) How do I request access to the Church Library?

Scroll towards the bottom of this webpage and find the Library Access Request Form. When you submit your request, our Church Library managers will review your access request. If your request is approved, our library managers will create a “Patron“ account on our Church Library system and you will receive an email notification from the system with your password.

Please note that at this time, the Church Library is only allowing members of the church and trusted friends of the church to register for library patron accounts. Please contact our church to establish a relationship with us, before requesting library access below.

2) How do I get to the Church Library?

One way to get to the Church Library is to click the button at the top of this webpage “Church Library Portal“. You are also able to access it by going to the following URL:

https://libib.com/u/coramdeorbc

3) How do I login to the Church Library?

When you navigate to the Church Library portal, you will be prompted to enter your email address and password. If you do not have an account, please read Question #1. If you have an account already, and are having trouble logging in, you may need to reset your password by clicking the “Password Reset“ button or by going to the following URL:

https://libib.com/u/coramdeorbc/forgot-password

4) How does the check-out/check-in process work?

Our Church Library currently does not support “self-checkout” at this time. In the meantime, Patrons may place a “hold” on the item(s) in our library (which means you are requesting to check these item(s) out). Our library managers will be able to see your requested hold for the item(s) and then either check-out the item(s) to you or cancel the hold.

If item(s) are checked-out to you, you can then pick these up at a church meeting, or arrange with our Church Library managers to have these item(s) shipped to you. Unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand, Patrons requesting item(s) to be shipped will be responsible for the delivery/return shipping charges.

5) How long may I borrow item(s) from the Church Library?

We have set a default lending period of 30 calendar days, but we encourage patrons to return borrowed item(s) when they have finished using them, so other may be able to utilize these items. You will automatically receive an email notification 7 calendar days to remind you of the upcoming due date for item(s) that you have checked-out. You will also receive past-due email notifications on the 3rd, 7th, and 14th days for any item(s) that have not been checked-in. Please let our library managers know if you think will need more than 30-days with any item(s), preferably before/during the check-out process (that way we will know to renew for an additional 30-days at the end of the 30-day lending period).

Please note that for any unreturned or lost/damaged item(s), patrons may be asked to reimburse the church for the item’s replacement cost before being allowed to check-out any more item(s) from the Church Library. The replacement cost is currently not visible for Patrons on the system, but you can request this information at any time.

6) How can I contact the Church Library managers?

While you can reach our church through our website’s main contact form, or by email, or through social media, there is also a contact form at the very bottom of this webpage to send any questions or suggestions to our Church Library managers.

Emails should be sent to: coramdeorbc@gmail.com
